To me, the year 2005 is remarkably mean and hell-filled because of all the horrors caused by nature and terrorism well as deaths of prominent leaders. First, day in day out, everyone dies in Iraq due to terror related acts; in Palestine, Hamas is hell-bent to terrorizing Jews while all sorts of hurricanes :France, Ivins, Rita, Katrina but to name a fews took toll on our coastal state civilians. Equally discouraging is the unexpected deaths of Dr. John Garang, Prince Abdala and Pope John Paul II. In the same year, we had many people dying due to air crashes (in Greece, Canada etc). What strikes me is the fury of nature against mankind and human hatred fueled by religious fundamentalists. What is wrong with air system? All in all, this century, especially the 2005 is will go down in history as a year when many world leaders died, terrorism reached its zenith, hurricanes struck mercilessly and airplanes crashed inexplicably. Is that a good characterization? What is your take?
